Iam currently working in English as a Second Language. Working in ESL has provided me multiple opportunites to expand my educational knowledge as well as gain a greater understanding of the vast cultural diversities our world has to offer. Additionally, working with teachers in understanding and implementing the English Language Proficiency Standards has been a challenge and an enjoyable additive to my career.
In college-readiness, the goal is to prepare K-12 students to think, plan and prepare to attend IHEs in order to pursue educational goals beyond high school graduation. My job is to faciliate that preparation for students as well as to assist parents by providing them with the tools they need to make informed decisions for their child's future. Both career opportunities have been rewarding and a learning journey for me.
